Merle graduated with a Master’s degree in Political Science (International Relations) in 2022. During her years of studying, her scientific interests focused on structures of power, inequality and injustice, challenges of capitalism, and intersectionality. 

After always having had a scientific interest in issues of inequality and wanting to bring positive effects to the world, she came across The Present which fit her eagerness of bringing about positivity and inclusivity.
