Alaeddin knows like no other how good life in Syria was before the war: Alaeddin (Alaa for friends) studied as an interior designer and ran a jeans business together with his brother. Now, in Europe, he recognizes his own grief in refugee children. With his initiative Happy Caravan – and his incredibly infectious smile – he wants to enable kids to have fun, like they did before becoming refugees. With a big team of volunteers from all over the world, education and creative projects he hopes to offer refugee children – everywhere - a future in their new homelands.

In 2018, Alaa worked as ‘community manager’ forthe TPM core team. He is still connected to TPM, but currently as ‘our man onthe ground’, ready to guide entrepreneurs who want to make a positive changewith regard to the current situation in Greek refugee camps.
