The Iris Hond Foundation was founded in 2017 by pianist and composer Iris Hond. The foundation aims to bring music to places where it normally does not come, but is especially needed. Because music can make all the difference in homeless centers, hospitals, asylum centers and prisons. Even if it's just for a while.
During her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Iris Hond regularly played for the homeless. She came into contact with them because she spent a lot of time on the street during her studies and noticed that the homeless and other displaced people in particular gave her a sense of home and security. To give something back to them, she regularly played in nightclubs and shelters. There she discovered the healing power of music for people who have trouble connecting with society.
The Iris Hond Foundation was founded in 2017 with the mission to motivate and support homeless people and people who are at risk in increasing their resilience, dignity and strengthening their bond with society. The Iris Hond Foundation wants to stimulate and motivate people to take care of themselves and to have faith in a good future. The Iris Hond Foundation believes that creating a safe environment where people can be themselves, without value judgment, can make all the difference.
For the foundation we are looking for a fundraiser who can convert the plans of the foundation into project plans for funds and subsidies. We would like to discuss with the fundraiser in question how exactly this will be shaped.
